Sunday Social

1. What is the best New Years Eve you've ever had?
Hmmmmmmmm....
Ringing in 2011 was a pretty good one.

NYE was more fun with my friends from high school.
since we've all moved apart its become a little over rated.

2. Are you doing anything for NYE this year and if so what?
Doesn't look like.
Looks like I'll be spending the night cuddled up on the couch watching netflix, eating chicken noodle soup, sucking on halls, and praying that I get better.
Like last year, there is a 90% chance I'll be without husband for the night.

3. Name a book we should all read come January?
I started last year off with "The Happiness Project"
and would agree that one should do the same.

4. What are your new years resolutions?
i think that'll wait till tomorrow.

Sunday Social & Remembrance Day

First, before Sunday Social begins, I need to take a moment.
And while I did live in the States for awhile, Canadian Remembrance Day is more important here than there. This is a day in which for the weeks before we have bought, not one, not two but maybe 5-8 poppies (because we loose them, wear them on different outfits, etcetra) and wear them over our hearts.

I don't have anyone in my family who has fought in the wars, or been directly involved with the military, but so many have, and though I'm not a huge supporter of military effort, I do realize the importance of Canadian Peace keeping troops and general reserves in making our country a great place to be, as well as other countries better places.

Anyways, don't forget to take your two minutes of silence when 11 am comes around to remember the hard work and dedication of the lives of the men and women who have served their country.

Now onto the Sunday Social
Sunday Social

Canadian Thanksgiving has passed.
Now it's time for Christmas.
Once Remembrance Day is over, of course.

Favorite Thanksgiving Memory
Perhaps one of my fondest is from my time at Cottey College.
I can't help but smile and remember the fond moments of celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving with my American Friends. Introducing them to my favorite Canadian side dishes and sitting around the table in the cafeteria and saying what we are thankful for, and being thankful for my friends.
This picture isn't from Thanksgiving, but it is from that time of the year.

My other favorite memories is Thanksgiving with Emily.
Emily always buys an organic grain fed turkey and it's massive
It's now known as the misfits Thanksgiving.
It's always the best of times!

Favorite Thanksgiving Food
I once hated stuffing. I know love stuffing.
Especially my mom's.

And sweet potatoes with marshmallows.

What is a Thanksgiving Tradition you and your family have?
I don't know if we have any specific traditions aside from the usual.

Show us a favorite Thanksgiving picture(or 5) from years past
I don't know if I have any pictures....

What are you most looking forward to about this Thanksgiving?
It already passed =D

As a young'en, I often went as a witch, or a clown.
Usually, the day before halloween we'd raid the tote of costume material and decide on something.

Unfortunately, there are no pictures.
This is the only one I could find from 11th grade.
I made my princess costume.

 Lets get literary!
1. Favorite childhood book

I can see the book in my head. I can imagine the pictures. The fun rhymes.
I can't for the life of me remember the name.
It was one of those books that was from a little local author from somewhere else.
It was about this thing that made this beautiful outfit from things from nature for the big celebratory day. I can't remember the name. It was strange. It had a strange name.
It was one of those books that I read so often that it has a broken spine and tattered pages

Sometime over the next week I'll remember.

In the meanwhile, the other book that comes to mind, is the ever popular "Rainbow Fish"

2 . Favorite Book lately

Like if I could recommend any book because of how much I like it....
I read "Merchants of Doubt" last semester in Environmental History.
It is one of those books that I recommend that everyone read.
Not sure if it's my favorite. I'm not sure if I've read enough books recently to have a favorite.
But I am working on more reading!
3. Book you wish you could live in

I always, and still do, wish that I could live in the world of Princess Mia.
I don't know if I so much want to live where she lives, but I want to be a Princess.
Who doesnt' want to be one? I was never one to read a lot of fantasy world books.

4. If you could be any character from a book who would it be and why?

To be Princess Mia and to live her life, I think are different. But I might just have to say ditto to the above question. I was obsessed with those books when I was in high school.
Obsessed is probably an understatement. :P
5. Favorite Book turned Movie?

That's tough.

I could pull my Princess Diaries book out again for this one.

I did LOVE LOVE LOVE The Notebook. Both the book and the movie.
tough questions.
6. Favorite Magazines
I love Macleans. Like any good Canadian.

I also love National Geographic.

1. What is something you have wanted to do but are afraid of?
I have wanted to be more social.
I know. Sounds weird. But people can scare me.

I'm kinda quiet. I don't usually think I have anything valuable to say. My stories are lame, and thats how my life feels.

2. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Still Married with a 2 year old! That's right. I hope to graduate in 3 years, get a 'real' job, somewhere in BC and have had just had my first child. I hope my life is still just rocking it.

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
Get started on my Vulvodynia treatment.
Dyan's Wedding in December
To go home for Christmas with my loving family.

4. What are your hopes for your blog?
To be somewhere I can ramble about myself.
Maybe make friends
To document my journey's, struggles.
Somewhere for other sufferers of Vulvodynia to follow and realise, were all just normal people living life.

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?
No. I'd like to retire somewhere cool.
We might move to Kamloops one day.
We will see.

6. What is your morning routine
Press Snooze. Press Snooze. Press Snooze.
Grab puppies. Cuddle. Cuddle. Cuddle.
Get out of bed. Curl up on couch with laptop. Find out what happened last night. Shower. Maybe. Go back to bed.
Get up again. Make coffee. Eat breakfast.
Go to work.

This happens over the period of about an hour. I should really streamline the process.

In other news...
I rocked my first day in jeans in like two weeks! Flare up gone :)
And Caper still not impressed that he has to wear a onsie.... He somehow managed it off though while I was at work, but he stood there staring at me for ten minutes after I put it on :P

Exploring the land of blogosphere has led me to this link up at A Complete Waste of Make up.

As for today, I need to go to work, mop the floors, and then work, but then I get to grab my bestie and head over to my big sister's (sorority style) place and hang out at our second rush event of the year! Spyce Night! Can't wait to spend some money!

This Weeks Questions:

1. 5 items you can't live without on a daily basis(water, food, shelter, and clothes dont count)

My iPhone, My puppies.

3 more? Say what?
I don't think there's much more to that....

Maybe our macbook too and my glasses, I'm blind without.

One last....

Starbucks.... if Starbucks, or any type of coffee house ceased to exist, my world would come to an end. I don't use them daily, but enough to warrant their every day existence.

2. All time favorite book? Why?
The only books that I still re read are Jean M. Auels 'Earth's Children's' Series. I love these book. I own all of them, and they are in rough shape. I started reading them in highschool, and every now and then they get pulled out again. They are just awesome books, plus they get a little sexy.

3. Something you'd like to accomplish before the end of 2012

I'd like to finish my kitchen, and the hand rail for the stairs of death! It would also be great if hubby could get al my pictures up and the shelving for the kitchen up!

Cabinet doors came off in June! X|

4. If you could go back and relive any year of your life which year would it be?
I think 2008 was awesome. I graduated from high school that year and headed off to college for some great fun adventures.

5. What do you wish people knew about you without you having to tell them?
I wish people knew that... I'll get back to you.

WHAT VULVODYNIA IS.
