Monday - Great Things from My Wedding!

I was married on a Monday. So unorthodox, but so right for us based on our schedules, the drive down to Vancouver, and everything. Somewhere out there is a blog totally dedicated to my wedding.

But today, as I drink my coffee and browse through pinterest, my mind stopped and reflected on my wedding. It was a great day, and I love everything we did.

So, with that all in mind, I've decided to set forth and dedicate Monday's to great things from my wedding, maybe, I'll even include some great flops as well.

Today, I wanted to draw attention to the greatest thing, the hit with all my guests ---- THE COFFEE BARISTA.

Eric and I had our first date at Starbucks. We met on Plenty of Fish, and met up there. We love Starbucks. We love Starbucks so much we went there on our wedding day.

Our love of Starbucks --- me my non fat caramel latte, and Eric, his white chocolate mocha, has earned us our beloved gold cards, as well as way too many free drinks. Our love of Starbucks has earned us that special place in the barista's hearts. If only they'd learn to spell my name right!

Unfortunately, it's not easy to host your wedding at Starbucks or to get Starbucks to come to your wedding (not that I tried). After some luck, I found a traveling coffee barista in the Vancouver area. It was a little haywire at first, and I wasn't sure to trust them or not because there aren't a whole lot of reviews and the I felt a little timid about the whole transaction/process. So I made Eric deal with it! Success. He sent off a cheque, and the barista was there.

We used Vango Mobile Expresso Catering Company. There aren't many mobile expresso caterers in the lowermainland, heck, correct me if I'm wrong but this might be the only one. Anyways, with there ceremony at 11, and lunch at 1:30, the mobile expresso guy was a hit! The line ups were long, (naturally, one guy 65 guests) but everyone got a coffee or hot chocolate or something delicious.

I don't have anything but good things and recommendations to make about the Catering services and would definitely recommend it.

How could you go wrong with a coffee barista at a morning wedding? Best yet for those non coffee drinkers (*shudders at the thought*) he even offered hot cocoa or tea... boring...

  2. Wow, that is super original. I love that idea. Seriously, I hope that my future husband enjoys, not just tolerates, coffee as much as I do. I would love to steal this idea from you for that occasion. I have never heard of that before, but I would love it if no one else did! haha Thanks for linking up with FOR THE LOVE OF COFFEE. I now have one more thing taken care of for my wedding plans. bahaha
